Starting a new chapter | June 06, 2026

Starting this new chapter in my life with my mother and her already successful career has been quite daunting. From coding in shopify and creating a website, I have had to force myself to learn a lot over these past few weeks. My mother, Sarah Ayaqi Whalen-Lunn, my brother, Bowie James Whalen, and I have been working on creating an intergenerational artist collective for our family and those who come after us. My mom and brother have been working for years now on their art and tattooing, but we could be doing so much more and reaching so much further. That's why I am here to help now. I have been working in the background, creating social media posts and the foundation for our websites, researching on new grants that we could apply for, and just trying to figure out what I am doing. Building something new is very confusing and scary, but I look to my mom who never gave up on her dream, and that keeps me pushing. I am hoping all these dreams of ours will come true, and thank you for following us on our journey.
